In the last 5 years I've played just a few hours of Counter-Strike - so quite clearly as of this moment in time I have no idea what the 'in'/popular/worthwhile games are :/
Especially as seeing as I stopped my subscription to PC Gamer about 8 years ago, which demos should I be trying out right now - and which have an active 'clan scene'.
Oh and has the 'clan scene' *changed* much at all?? |

The Call of Duty games have a very active "Clan scene" as far as I am aware. As well as games like Battlefield 2/Battlefield Bad Company 2. I think Unreal Tournament does alright. Team Fortress2 as well.
Not that I play any of them at all. |

| i still play a bit of tfc. but mostly i play everquest 2 :D tfc = dead and everquset not as popular a WoW but still a whole lot better |

hehe. Not sure how many UESC members I could rustle up for a re-match ;).
Good to see you are still alive. You made your millions yet?
Past 5 years I have been living the student dream. Just finishing up my PhD in nanotech at Leeds and engaged to be married next summer which is cool. I still play games, but never found an online one like TFC or CS, also I ain't got time to practice; so mostly just stick to single player crap.
Oh and Aries is still alive, he is also finishing a PhD, but in computer games studies or some crap ;P |

OMG so at least 2 PhD's in UESC that's pretty good going... I don't think F2C will ever come close in that respect, maybe to criminal records? But then we were always much more closely aligned to the "real world" than you bunch of wall-hacking dreamers :)
Well done on the imminent hitching, where is my stag party invite? Big Sister in Prague? :)
No I've not made my millions yet - work in progress, but hopefully about to sell my flat here in Watford and will be doing a 'residence upgrade' - had a half-decent offer today which I refused, fingers crossed the dude comes back with a bit more dough to fuel my next holiday... although to be honest there aren't many places left on my holiday destinations list! :)
Oh and I won't be getting hitched any time soon, I've been single for at least... 48 hours.
